Medisco Medical Systems
Medisco medical trolleys have been an integral part of the NHS since the 1980’s.
Redman Sheet Metal starting producing parts for Medisco in 1994 and then took over the business in 1998. We now manufacture totally in-house in Swindon.
Since then, the product range has been enhanced and improved and, due to their exceptional resilience in the arduous environment of hospital emergency wards, remain the preferred choice in most NHS and Care settings.
Within the NHS, and also more recently Care settings, there is a requirement to provide bespoke solutions to patient care issues. Over the years, there have been many adjustments to the standard design which have then become part of the product offering. Once such example was Colchester Hospital, where Head of Resuscitation Emma Thomson instigated a modification prior to placing an order for 57 trolleys.

The modular design of the products allow various configurations to be built from the same solid frame construction made solely from flat meterial. Using CNC punching and bending together with extensive Mig and Spot welding, as well as bush insertion. Welds are linished fully where required. The various component parts are then powder coated in a range of colours, some of which are specific to the paediatric care of children.
The various trolleys are then assembled, bringing together the metal components, with up to ten different purchased out components to complete the finished trolley to the customers specific build requirements. To ensure maximum protection, the trolleys are then film wrapped with poly corners and cardboard before being enclosed in a tri-wall wrap and palletised.
